I'm thankful for a hubby that loves me, 4 healthy children, a warm
place to sleep and enough food for our meals... God bless America!

Deadly nightshade (belladonna) is toxic in most cases, but is also used in medicine in small doses.  Here's a link:  http://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/mom/solanine/deadlynightshade.html

The leaves and stems of the tomato, potato and eggplant are toxic, but the fruit does not have the toxic substance (solanine) found in those parts.

We watched a documentary about pizza & way back in the day, tomatoes were thought to be poisonous.
