Smarter Style: Dress Codes?

I work at home and am a mom of two little kids, so dressing up is not a huge part of my life. That means when I get to, for a work meeting or a social event, I love it.

When it comes to spring events, I like to dress up a little, but still be comfortable.  My go-to is a floral or cool patterned skirt, a tee, a cardigan, and cute sandals or flats. Or, I have a couple knit dresses that are comfy as can be and relatively flattering; these are great for both business-y things with heels and jewelry or playground time with comfy shoes. My stylish cousin rocks the 40s-style dresses with wedge heels, while some girlfriends always have pretty, dressy sweaters and nice pants. My mom is the queen of the long, cape-like cardigans.

I think anytime you can find an outfit that works for work, parties, or all the various ceremonies and events we'll be attending for our kids this time of year, you thank the fashion gods and wear it until it falls apart, no?

What's your go-to spring outfit?

This is me a 100 times over. I don't care about fashion at all. As long as I am comfortable.

Whatever fits & is appropriate for the weather & occasion. I'm really not that much into clothes & have zero sense of fashion.
