We like word games and bingo for the car, long conversations and roll playing i.e. you're grown up and visiting us with your kids! Road trips are the best. Here's a California Road Trip video for you. Enjoy!

New movies, little surprise goody bags with dollar store stuff, family sing a longs and a no rush attitude that includes stopping on a whim. I drove my kids, alone, to Florida from NY. It's very doable!  Enjoy

Try to find a play place or park along the way so the kids can run and get the extra engery out. Plan to make stops just to get out of the car and let everyone have some space and fresh air. Get each kid get a small backpack or bag and put some thing in it for them to do along the way. I also hit up the $ store for new toys to bring out along the way when they start to get borad.
