I have a small load of some old clothes in the washer..
anyone makes their own laundry soap??
Here is the recipe.. I copied if from a you tube video.. there a 100 of recipes so if this one doesnt suit you maybe another will maybe they wont at all...
You need
5 gallon bucket
1 bar of soap (they said any soap is fine)
Arm+Hammer Washing soda (not get it confused with baking soda)
Borax
Grater
Put 4 cups of water in pan, put on stove, Grate soap put grated soap in boiling water (take your time doing that) add about 3 gallon of warm water into bucket
1 cup washing soda
1/2cup of borax
add everyhing (they recommend to start with the soapy water first)
stir and let it set for 24h.. ( I couldnt wait that long)
it will have a jello like touch...
Have fun making
Quoting celestegood:I wonder, though-has anyone made both? If so, which worked better?
Anyhow, I've had my own washer/dry for years, and I should make my own on a routine basis. No reason not to.
I'll make a post when I finally do make my own!
