Quoting singletiredmom:When I make meatloaf I make two. I bake one for supper and put the other in the freezer. I do the same with any kind of pasta dish, casserole, meat balls and baked pot pie. I also freeze soups and chili. It's nice to have all the prep done and just put it in the oven or microwave.
I don't do this, but I actually recently had two meals that I froze because I had a lot of extra. It felt good to know the left overs weren't going to just sit in my fridge only to get tossed out. It was penne lasagna and pulled chicken.
What a good idea! My kids love pancakes!
I do many things. Lasagna is a big one. Also chicken noodle soup, less the noodles. I freeze it and when I go to use it, I boil the noodles in the actual soup.
Quoting critter_boo:Spagetti sauce
I actually can my sauce as well as salsa, apple sauce, apple butter and apple pie filling.
