 once my SO gets his SSI settlement, WE ARE MOVING! omfg! im drooling litterly at both "real estate" & "rental" house's! i am loving these prices!

I guess it depends on what kind of job you have, but I think in general you'd make a little bit less down there.

 out in the "country" home prices & rentals are cheaper but like tinkerxbell said incomes tend to be a bit lower.  but it's all relative.  where i live, close to atlanta, you may make more but you're paying out more. 

another thing to consider when thinking of moving to ga is schools.  we don't have the best in the country so you want to make sure you move to a good district.  we could never afford to buy a home where we live now but we're in one of the best school districts in the area.  i have friends that bought a home about 40min from us but the school district is horrible.  luckily she's a teacher in a better district & hardships her daugther to a school there.
