for the most part yes, but vandals are on the rise because of all of the foreclosures.

Not really. We moved here to Pensacola,Fl when Dh was still active duty on a navy transfer & then literally a month after he was officially discharged, hurricane Ivan hit us! Being we are on 1 income (I can't work b/c of medical reasons & b/c ds is mentally disabled),so yeah.Being on 1 income,we've been "stranded" here for the past 10 yrs come october & me being a 'displaced northerner' and raised in a very tight-knit family,it's very hard for me to be so far away from my mom,dad & sisters.Dh,on the other hand, being from New Orleans, loves that we are just 4 hrs away from La. But I am tired of spending every christmas w/ MIL from hell!!! But it's only this way b/c of the financial reasons & Dh & i agreed that we would not relocate (likely to N.O) unless MIL passes away(she has some serious health probs & plus, being the only child,he would inherit the house, her pathfinder & everything else...) OR we have the $ and means to where we could just find a place & move in ,bypassing having to stay any duration of time w/ MIL. Dh & I have also talked about when she eventually passes on & he inherits the house, that we might sell it & move somewhere else, possibly even up north again, but that's a ways off yet...so,for now,i'm trying to 'make lemonade' from the 'lemons',so to speak.:-)

It is okay. I wish we had a bigger yard and am SO tired of all the stray cats in the area considering I am extremely allergic to cats. For the most part the neighborhood is really quiet. I just wish the neighbors would stop feeding all the strays.

I absolutely do except for the fact that my family is about 5 hours away, I wish I could bring them here to live.

yep!  our apartment is nice.  there are a ton of parks & green spaces around.  lots of activities for children, families & singles.  the schools are good.  we're a short walk from the chattahoochee river.  mountains are about an hour away.  we're about 20min from downtown.
