I want to start making my own smoothies. What is the best blender for that?

depends on how creative you get. If you want to do veggies and juicing your own fruits and veggies you need one with a juicer and strong blades. If you want to do regular fruit and juice smoothies with yogurt, 20$ from kmart or wherever will work great.

 I have a personal sized one. It will make one or two smoothies depending on how much smoothie you want.

we bought a ninja, but returned it, it didn't blend everything well, there were still chunks left!

I used to make them with fruits and also ice cream and milk with the powder and I had a 20$ blender. I had to drink like 3 a day, gross lol. I hope you enjoy tham more than I!
