Get Your Home Ready For Summer Day 9: Get out the Grill

Have you gotten out your grill yet? With summer just around the corner and the Fourth of July coming up, it's time to fire up your grill. If you don't have one, now might be the time to shop! There are quite a few sales happening for Father's Day.

• Check to be sure your grill is on level ground.
• Talk to your kids about grill safety.
• If you have a gas grill, it's very important to do a leak check.
• Be sure all the knobs are working and no parts have come loose or fallen off.
• Get proper grilling tools to avoid burning yourself.
• Give the grill a good cleaning before its first use.

Our grill is an indoor/outdoor. We use it more than the stove.

we have a regular grill and i think I need to pick up more charcoal....

Our grill is a Big Green Egg, my hubby built a wooden platform to encase it in, so it is pretty safe. The lid is so heavy I can barely lift it, and there is no way it can tip over. We grill at least 3-4 times a week.

This is something we do not have yet. If we want to grill we go to my mom's exh's house and grill there.

Yes, my grill has been ready since April. I love grilling. :) I actually have a meal planned to grill for dinner today. Garlic Marinated steak for my husband and lemon pepper marinated chicken for me and the children. It's beautiful weather today, too. I'm looking forward to a delicious meal and fun grilling, today & throughout the summer. :)

We purchased a new grill back in March, so it is good to go.  We grill pretty often all year long, which is odd for people to do here in PA.  I've been known to be grilling steaks in a blizzard.
