Get Your Home Ready For Summer Day 10: Bathroom Basics

It’s time to clean and organize your bathroom! It's easy to just throw things under the sink, but today you're going to see what's under there! Before you even start cleaning, go through the things in your bathtub, cabinets, drawers and sink:

  • Get rid of items in drawers or the shower that you no longer use.
  • Clean up the overflowing toothpaste tubes, sticky lotion jars, and all the residue on the shelves.
  • Get rid of expired products.
  • Throw out things you've been saving 'in case you need them' but haven't used yet this year.
  • Throw out cleaning supplies that are empty or past their prime.
  • Throw the bath mat and towels into the wash.

Finally, clean the floor, sink, toilet, and shower. Give everything a good scrub!

If you've done that and are still looking for something to do, think about how you might want to update your bathroom. You might get new storage, add a cute basket for under the sink, or put a special photograph in a frame on the wall.

When's the last time you really cleaned and organized your bathroom?

I cleaned thoroughly about 3 days ago, and btw I wanted to tell you guy's about a great product that is amazing!!! My ex a while back used this product and he was shocked, so he bought me a box of them. They are like little sponge/scrubber things. I got one out and used it to clean my bathroom...OMG it's never been cleaner, stains that I thought were permanent came right off without scrubbing. It's called Redi Shine Stain Eraser, and the greatest part is you don't use Cleaners at all!!! Just wet the sponge, wring it out and wipe gently, the lighter the touch the cleaner it is. It's really awesome!!! I looked on Walmart to see how much they were I figure there expensive, only 1.29 for two sponges...!!! Also my friend said they are the equivalent of the Mr. Clean stain erasers. This made cleaning fun, I was removing stains from hair dye on my grout...??!!! easy. They shrink as you go but I used one sponge in my bathroom and one in my kitchen and still had half a sponge left. It even got off dried tile glue that I had given up on...:D Anyway, this is a lifesaver, and I wanted to let you all know...it says not to let kids or pets eat them or play with them, but that's kind of a no brainer. :D

Well i am going to do my best to organize the new bathroom as I set it up. And the only time the bathroom will get that deep of a clean is when I move in and out. Ugh, two bathrooms to clean this weekend gross!

I just cleared all three bathrooms out. I have tons of space now. My new Shark steam mop and handsteamer were priceless in this task.

I am going to do it now because it's been about 6 months.
