Get Your Home Ready For Summer Day 10: Bathroom Basics

It’s time to clean and organize your bathroom! It's easy to just throw things under the sink, but today you're going to see what's under there! Before you even start cleaning, go through the things in your bathtub, cabinets, drawers and sink:

• Get rid of items in drawers or the shower that you no longer use.
• Clean up the overflowing toothpaste tubes, sticky lotion jars, and all the residue on the shelves.
• Get rid of expired products.
• Throw out things you've been saving 'in case you need them' but haven't used yet this year.
• Throw out cleaning supplies that are empty or past their prime.
• Throw the bath mat and towels into the wash.

Finally, clean the floor, sink, toilet, and shower. Give everything a good scrub!

If you've done that and are still looking for something to do, think about how you might want to update your bathroom. You might get new storage, add a cute basket for under the sink, or put a special photograph in a frame on the wall.

I did a cleaning challenge with a friend recently and hit the bathroom hard!

I wipe everything down daily. And do a top to bottom clean on Wednesday's. There's not a lot of storage room so no where for clutter to build up.

i have not done a hardcore cleaning, but i throw things away as they are gone and only have 1 of each item open at a time so that it does not become an issue.

I clean the bathrooms thoroughly every week.
We have two full and two half.
I have to go through unused or expired products. I try to do that every few months.

 Been a long time since I did a full out clean and organize of my bathroom but that is something that is defintely coming up. I am going to also be doing a fresh painting, updating to the mirror and lighting and updating to the bathroom sink storage I am thinking some painting and molding adding to that should really make it pop. I am also planning on adding a little bathroom guests corner for my guests.

One great thing about my DH is that he is the one who cleans the bathroom.  The last time though alot of the outdated stuff got tossed or given away (like soaps and shampoos) was done by me and that was about a month ago.

I do it all the time because ny bathroom is small and has no storage in it.

I clean and organize the bathrooms at least once a week
