Which ones do you have??? Which ones are better??? I guess what I am asking is do you have a favorite device option when you were choosing your ROKU and where did you get it at...did you order it from the actual sight???

We have two and well worth the money. We use to stream Netflix through our wii but love Roku instead. Couldn't imagine not having it. We have netflix and hulu. Couldn't go without netflix cause of all the kids shows and movies. Must admit though still angry at netflix for taking Word World off streaming, anyway, Google reviews and research it, Roku worth it imo. We cancelled cable.

Quoting jpalmer:

Lol...no problem this is how I find most things out...hahahaha...

Here is a websight I found...

www.ROKU.com

I found out that there are several diffrent devices you can choose from...and unlimited apps you can choose from...and over half are FREE!!! I use our game systems to stream netflix...but this thing streams everything and is small enough to fit in your purse and take with you...all you need is wifi connection and your golden...

I think I am going to get the ROKU LT because its the cheapest its around $50 and if I like it then I might upgrade...kwim...lol

Quoting hfaddis:

I've never heard of this, i'm going to  have to read over the replies and see what I can learn! =) so thanks for asking about it!

I will have to check which ones, the first one we got was over a year ago and they made changes by the time we got our second one. First one we got at walmart second one we actually ordered from Roku when they ran a special.

Amazon prime is around $80 a year. You get free streaming of certain shows, free 2 day shipping on almost all amazon purchases, and extra free kindle books (along with one free book rental a month). Most people get it for the free shipping.

Quoting jpalmer:

How much is amazon prime??? What comes with amazon prime??? And is hulu better then netflix??? I was thinking about getting my mom and my self one but I want to make sure it's worth it before I do...and what kind of roku do you have...are there certin boxes??? Is it even a box??? Just curious...

Ps. Thanks for helping me!!!

Quoting auroragold:

We have roku and are dropping our satellite.

It doesn't take THE PLACE of a gaming system at all.

think of it as cable and a DVR all wrapped up.

We are also Amazon Prime members (before having the roku) so we get ondemand shows from Amazon and we have Hulu on it so we get all the network shows we want as well (no need to worry about missed episodes).

My only "complaint" about it is the search function. I hate having to search individual applications when I'm looking for something to watch. Other than that.......it has been worth the money

I have a Sony google tv and we watch Netflix on it through the built in app. Best way to use Netflix I've found, but a roku is likely cheaper ... Unless you're in the market for a new telly.
