What were your favorite songs, that your parents listened to? Ya know, the songs they blasted on their tape deck or the radio.
well i kind of liked a few.
everything i own - bread
have you ever seen the rain - creedance
sarah (i forget the name every time)
can't help falling inlove - elvis
Mrs. Robinson - simon and garfunkel
the sound of silence - simon and garfunkel
someone like you - rod stuart
there isn't that many. it's a good thing though; i don't think i can handle having very many similarities with my parents. being different is a must.
Quoting yourpassion:
I loved that song, my friend Sarah, not so much.
Quoting KristinRox:I just plugged the lyrics I could remember into google "sara, sara, storms are brewing in your eyes" and it comes up as "Jefferson Starship" was who sang it.
Quoting mrstheriault:if it's "sara smile" then it's hall and oates. i'm not immediately aware of another sarah song.
as for my parents, all they listened to when i was little was gospel music. *gag*. lol. the first secular music i ever listened to was the beach boys when i was about 10. i was hooked. from then on all i wanted to listen to was 50's and 60's (and some 70's).i still love the oldies. i've had to discover a lot of it myself, and then dh introduced me to even more :) i'm definitely a fan of classic rock. of course, my parents grew up listening to all that when it actually came out, so we all enjoy the same music together now. i just wish they had introduced me to it when i was little!!
Quoting KristinRox:When I was 2 I used to love the song. "Sarah" I dont even know who its by. My sister loved "walking on sunshine". My mom used to listen to pat benatar and 99 red balloons by Nena.
