Our ds has a receptive language problem and physically just doesnt understand directions. Even stuff like get out of the road so a car doesnt hit you. He may know the words, and be able to use them to you. But for some reason he doesnt process them when he hears them.
So anyway, he is tapping away on the window to the new place we just moved into days ago. DH and I are trying to sit down to a nice chinese food take out. We only get take out maybe once every few months and eat together as often. So we were trying to distract him and get him away from the window but still sit and eat our meal. While asking to stop and come here repeatedly although we know it won't really work. We were thinking noise factor since it was kinda late and we know our neighbor sleeps then because he work over nights.
No such luck :( He hit it just right, not even with much force, and broke the pane of glass in half! He is fine, nothing touched him, more like it bent and broke in a straight line from the pressure and just popped out and rested on the screen. But really kid? You broke the damn window to the place we just bearly moved into? Give me a break! lol. *sigh*
Luckily we thought it would be several hundred to fix and we can actually just go get a piece of glass from Lowes for $11 and they will cut it to the exact size and dh with caulk it back in place. Whew! Thats good at least. I have never broken a window in my life. I can't believe my kid did it at two lol
