My 11-year-old went to the Boys and Girls Club for most of today, and 14-year-old went to my sister's house to help my brother-in-law to work on my sister's car. They are putting a new wheeling bearing on her car. Since my brother-in-law just had minor surgery last week he isn't suppose to lift more then 10 pounds until his surgical sites have healed. My nephews would rather be lazy then to help my brother-in-law to work on the car. My 14-year-old has expressed his interested to learn to do basic maintenance on a car. Then my boys have their martial arts classes tonight at 5:00 tonight. Other then that I'm enjoying my peace and quiet in the house at the moment.

my daughter did a day camp at a local chocolate store.  she got to make chocolate molds, dip goodies in chocolate & had lunch & gelato while there.

while she was there my mom & i took my son to the mall to play & to browse around.  now we're at home listening to the storm that's moving in.

That is great of your son! I'm sure he is feeling good about helping out and learning about cars more. Sounds like a good day for all of you.

My 14-year-old did feel good about helping out his uncle, unfortunately my brother-in-law didn't have all the tools that he needed to finish charging out my sister's wheel bearing on her car. So he has to be at my sister's house at 9:00 in the morning in hopes that they can finish the job.
