This summer has just flown by, hasn't it? Some of my friends' kids have gone back to school this week, and others start in the next couple weeks. That means, hard as it is to believe, summer is dwindling fast. It's time to do everything you haven't had a chance to do yet, and quickly.
Here's my list:
Ice cream for dinner
Hiking at a nature center
Day camp week
Going to the beach for a day
Going to a U-pick farm
Ice pops on the back porch
Splashing in a pool
Staying up late watching the Olympics
Sidewalk chalk masterpieces
Movie marathon on a rainy afternoon
I'm sure my kids have some ideas too....my daughter has taken to inventing holidays and today came up with "Sugar Day" in which all we eat is sugary treats, all day long. Hmmmmm....maybe the last day of summer vacation?
What's on your list for the rest of the summer? And when do your kids go back?
There is still plenty of summer left here. I have to hold on to it for as long as I can because the weather doesnt usually get nice here until the end of June.
We are going to go to the water park, and we are going to go on a small road trip before this month is over.
my list grows everyday! lol I try to keep the kiddos busy with fun activities and day trips to places
If Travis's feet have healed enough, we'll be doing a water park before school starts.
Otherwise, my to do list is all about volunteer activities I'm involved in.
Waterpark, bouncy house place, and county fair...and our annual bbq.
My daughter goes back August 20, my son goes back Sept. 5
We have done everything we wanted to do this summer, now we are trying to get back into a school mode. Not going well. If this little girl doesn't start moving faster in the am, we'll have to get up at 4 am.
I don't really have a to do list. My boys go back to school on September 5.
