Do  your kids have allowance? How much? When did you start? Do they have to do chores for it?

Nope. My oldest is 5 and he just started having to do chores to earn video game time (he was getting really carried away playing all day so we had to cut back a lot). Maybe in a few years.

My oldest ds is 9 and he has gotten an allowance for about 4 years.  He has to do chores for it.  He gets $3 a week.

Bean does not. But he does get daddy's spare change at the end of the day if he has any. He does have chores he has to do everyday.

Not yet they don't. I'm not really sure when to start with my oldest and my youngest isn't old enough yet.

My 5 year old gets allowance $5 per week for making sure no one leaves their shoes out of place and making sure no toys are left out when it's clean up time. My 7 year old gets $7 per week for helping mommy in the kitchen. One of my other sons is very musically gifted and was offered $20 per week to help my 7 yer old with her violin lessons, but he doesn't come through very often, lol. My 10 year old son gets allowance when school is in session, for keeping a good watch over his little sister in the auditorium as they wait to assemble for class. He gets $10 every other week for that.

They don't really. We were paying them for chores, then we sort of forgot to keep doing it. They do get paid for extra chores they do like a couple dollars if they help stack the wood and stuff

Nope, no allowance.

They do chores because they are members of this family and this is their house too. I wouldn't pay a kid to do something they should be doing anyway.
