Audio books?

It was always in the back of my mind that just older people check out audio books. Well I caved and checked one out because its one of my favorite authors and I heard great reveiws about the speaker.

I listen to it in the car...and I actually like it, but in this case I have read the book. I dont think I could concentrate enough to remember all of it from an audio book.

What do you think about audio books? Have you ever listen to one?

I love them on long trips.

I love to put them on when I cannot sleep at night instead of watching tv. They are relaxing.

I listen to the bible audio while I'm doing a house project or washing dishes

I love the idea of audio books. However I tend to tune out after awhile when someone is speaking unless I'm actively engaged in the conversation (it's bad I know). So if I got an audio book, I'd maybe retain 3 pages worth. LOL.

Never listened to one. I prefer to read myself. I can't picture it when others read for me.
