My baby turns 1 on Thanksgiving this year.  I want to invite her grandparents and a few close friends to celebrate with us. At first I was thinking of a separate celebration on Saturday the 24th, but now I'm wondering if I should just have Thanksgiving at my house and celebrate her bday on her actual bday. Our friends probably wouldn't be able to make it, but her grandparents would and there is something special about having it on the actual day.

What would you do?

Awe thats a bummer for the children though. But...on second thought because it is so spaced out it kinda might feel like you get to have 2 bdays!

Well, I will tell you what my sil and brother are doing with their daughter who was born on November 22 and her birthday is falling on Thanksgiving this year. They have discussed having her party either the Saturday before Thanksgiving or the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They didn't want it on the holiday.

My daughter and I were both born on Nov. 22.  She is turning 1 this year. What I'm doing... I just decided to host Thanksgiving at my home.  I am having her a special cake made, and the one she destroys.  We have a turkey pinata (which will be great for all of the kids.)  We are excited since this is a day that all of the family could get together.  I'm really looking forward to it.

I would do it on Thanksgiving especially for a first birthday.  If she were older, maybe on a different day.
