We don't have them.
Although I would not be against them. I don't care one way or the other.
I'd like it when my kids are in school. It would be a lot easier getting them ready in the mornings.
Grandma teaches at a Catholic school and she has to punish lots of kids on dress down days because they don't follow the regular dress code that most non-uniform wearing schools have.
My kids go to a school that does uniforms, it's a raging PITA. Buying 2 wardrobes per kid is expensive and irritating. PLUS Uniform clothing is 2x (or more) expensive than normal clothes. I cannot wait to move somewhere where there are no uniforms. Before I had to deal with them I thought I'd like them. I was wrong. Uniforms SUCK. And they don't solve the problems that people think they will. If a kid is a bullying little asshole, uniforms are not going to stop them. And since they can't legally require you to buy one brand it really doesn't equalize either, some kids will still be in Walmart Clothes (I actually like their uniforms best anyway) and others will be in Gymboree (because their parents like to waste money) and everything in between.
Hate them, BOO to Uniforms.
Mine is in private school.
I've experienced both and I think uniforms are best.
