HAVE YOU EVER TRIED...

Durian?

Or any other exotic fruit? What was it and did you enjoy the experience?

Im a fruitarian, but had never tried durian. I finally had an opportunity to last weekend. I have always known that it is said to be a bit stinky when you open it, but the flavor is said to be pure bliss.

My experience... Not so much, lol. I found it had no awful smell but the taste was actually rather funky to me. It tasted like (the way chicken smells if it's starting to go bad... But that was the taste of it, lol)

Im still glad we tried it though.

Honestly I had not either prior to becoming a raw vegan. It's very spikey on the outside, and pretty big.

That sounds nasty lol. I have actually never heard of it though. I usually stick to the fruits I know and know I love. My favorite is and always will be mango.

Champagne mango is the only mango I like... It's super sweet and smooth, not stringy.

I love trying new fruits and veggies, and while I will never attempt durian again, I have no regrets. And so many people do actually love them.

I have only had 2 kinds. One is the kind that you get at the grocery store (not sure what kind they are called lol), the other was one from Mexico I think. That one was soooo yucky. We don't have a lot of different selections on stuff here though. I could probably find some stores that would have better selections, that would be over an hour of a drive.
