Do you ever have a day where you turn off everything and just go outside with the kids?
I try to at least once a week but it doesn't always happen

My mom did this with us, to an extreme, when we were kids. One day every summer from sunrise to sunset. Only electric we could use was the pool and refrigerator. Had to learn how they washed clothes before washing mashines, how to cook on a grill or gas stove. I think she made us pretend we were amish or something. Of course my mom's house has lots of antiques and a fireplace so we could even manage in the winter with no electric fairly well.
pretty much most days when the weather is nice & we have nothing going on. which lately hasn't been very often.
In the Spring, Summer and Fall we are outside every single day. In the Winter (I hate Winter) we hybernate.
We'll be doing outdoor activities when it starts to warm up and I have plenty of mosquito repellent.
