Some of you know my dd had epilepsy the other post on the brain surgery got me to thinking maybe I can share our story sorry if this offends op on that post. My dad is 7 now she has mild cerebral palsy and epilepsy she has hundreds of seizures a day many we can't see and averages 7 physical seizures an hr. At the end of November we had a vagus nerve stimulater put in. Basically a pace maker for the brain as brain surgery us not an option with her since her seizures are on both sides of the brain. They said it would be months for us to see results. I am not seeing a decrease in siuezure activity yet and um OK with that we have to keep going with the machine increases every 2 weeks and all of her meds, but I am seeing improvement. We are noticing she is speaking a lot more and able to finish full thought with out so much hesitation and interruption. Before she could never finish a full thought she would start and end up forgetting where she was going with it and walk away.so I'm very thankful that this seems to be doing something helpful. I just wanted to share a liitle bit and am willing to anwser questions thanks for reading
