Ok so I know I know baaaad mommy, but my son hasn't been to the dentist since he was 3. He has gotten his teeth cleaned by the mobile dentist that goes to his school every 6 months tho... At the last cleaning they found a cavity. So today we have an appointment to get that taken care of. I've been trying to explain to him what's gonna happen but I don't think he is quite getting it :-/ how can I prepare him for getting a filling? Give me info! Lol

They are awesome. They use your insurance if you have it and if not they donate the time. It helps a lot so you don't have to pull em out of school and they still get the dental care they need :-)

That sounds neat. I'd just see if you could go back there and be with him. Let him take his favorite animal or toy. That always helps my kids. Its not too bad my son got his first cavity at 9 years old. He did fine. I'm sure your son will be okay too. :)

I'd be honest and let him know it is going to hurt a bit but he will be fine.
