When your kid(s) have money and it seems like they want to buy everything they see at the store, do you let them have fun with it, or teach them to save it, how do you teach savings to your kids that are old  enough?

Mine is frugal.  He's saving his money for our trip to Rio in 2016.  I put aside the difference between less expensive brands, if we buy with coupons, etc.  He's on a mission to be cheap lol!

My kids are still a bit too young to understand, but I've always liked the idea of spending half and saving half. I think it allows a kiddo to have fun buying something, but also see how much money can add up.
