I haven't had running water since 10am (it's now 3:30pm). The electric company hit the water valve....the water company is now fixing it but ugh. I really need to shower, flush the toilet, wash my hands, dishes, laundry.
Could never do this w/out water thing!
*all good now* water is back on. good to keep some water on hand though!
If you have any sort of natural water supply nearby, take a bucket and dump a bucket of that water in the back of the toilet so you can flush it. Take any kind of container next door and ask a neighbor if you could fill it up with their tap and use that to get the majority of the stuff off the dishes and keep some aside for any emergency hand washing.
Ugh.. sounds awful. The other day they hit one of the major water pipes in the city.. most people on the east side were without water for 24 hours. Thankfully we are on a well so we didnt have to deal with that.
they're still working on it and digging. you never know how much you use water until it's gone!
