Gross but I desperately need help!

So my 5yo woke up vomiting last night... Poor guy. We have a good plan of action for dealing with his illness, but I need help on another front.

After we cleaned him and the room up, I immediately put all the bedding in the laundry. I washed it on warm with my usual detergent, All Free & Clear. It still stinks like vomit! :-( I'm running it on a longer cycle right now, but I'm not sure what else to do...

Any ideas of how to get the smell out of sheets, blankets, teddy, and pjs?

I have Oxy but it's a front loading HE machine. I've never been sure if I can put it in this machine. Do you use Oxy in a front loader?

soak it in a bowl with some vinegar, and add some baking soda to the wash. Just sprinkle it in on top of the sheets before you start the cycle.

Thanks. I don't really have anything big enough to soak it all in... It's every last piece of his bedding. It was a mess. :-\ But I can sprinkle baking soda for sure, thank you for the tips.

Add some vinegar. You should be able to put it in the fabric softener spot wihout any issues.
