Is anyone giving bunnies or chicks to their children for Ester?
No. It always drove me insane when I worked at Petsmart and people would come in and get birds, small animals for kids for holidays. Naturally, they had done no research and had no clue what the needs of the animal was and expected their young child to care for it.. smh...
Animals are not gifts. They are living creatures and deserve to be cared for properly.. I saw too many animals die from improper care because they were gifts than when someone researched and put thought into getting an animal.

This bears repeating.
Quoting KRIZZ25:no.. that's is a stupid idea.. never give a pet as a gift..a pet is something that u have to take serous.. just like a child.
I stick with chocolate bunnies for Easter.
I would LOVE a pet rabbit, because I love rabbits and have owned several, but I already have 3 pets and my place is plenty full with them.
No way - cute chicks grow up to be chickens. Cute baby bunnies grow full sized. They are a responsibility not to be taken lightly. I was at the local Humane Society once about 6 weeks after Christmas. The number of rabbits they had was astounding. People bought them for Easter and then couldn't handle the responsibility. Another time I was there about 2 months after the movie "Bedtime Story" came out - it had a cute guinea pig named Bugsy. Well the Humane society had several of them on hand because people once again underestimated and took on more than they wanted.
Nope. My dog is enough pet for us.
no we are not
