I could really do without this one problem.
Yes that is a mouse... I went to do some laundry and it was in my washer. I got it out and threw it way out in the woods. Thankfully they don't come in very often. Ugh.

If I lived in the country I would have to have a cat
Indoor or outdoor wouldn't matter.

I live in the country and have never had a mouse/ rodent problem.
The only mouse problem we have ever had was actually when we lived downtown.

Peppermint Essential Oil. Put it in a spray bottle and spray around the inside basement and attic and outside exterior walls. They HATE it.

We had field mice at one point. Then my neighbor got a cat... no more mice. :)

Only time we ever have them come in is when it gets really dry outside. It has rained once in the past month... I think it wouldn't be so bad if we didn't live right in the woods.

I text my DH. Of course he can't do anything about it because he is at work. So I text my mom. She is asleep... I text my brother. He was fishing... I had to do something because I have blankets that need washed. I got a cup and a thick piece of paper and got it.

A few problems with that. We don't have a attic. I live in Texas along the coast, so no basement either. Also our house don't sit on the ground. Since we live so close to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, we have to have our house so far off thw ground... I can see if my DH will crawl under the house and spray, but then there is the snakes...

You can soak something maybe old cotton shirts? and then throw them back there? You would have to spray it undiluted and not too much, just enough to make the smell and throw them around the exterior if possible.
