Slow down

We usually take 12-to-16 breaths per minute, Kayleigh Pleas, Nutrition and Wellness Coach at Kayleigh Health in New York City, says. But deep inhales and exhales can slow us down to four-to-six breaths per minute, helping us destress and think more clearly by decreasing our fight-or-flight response, and making us feel calmer and more confident in any situation. Once your stress response has diminished, you'll have the clarity and strength of mind to go out and face whatever comes your way.
