My SIL recommended laying the kids clothes out the night before, I think that's genius!

Lay out clothes the night before, pack lunches the night before (during the school year and if you have school aged kids).

Have backpacks or whatever you/kids will need for the day ready the night before.

Wake up 30 minutes earlier, I feel MUCH less rushed if I get up at 5:30 as opposed to 6.

Shower at night instead of in the morning, if possible.

Wake up an hour or 1/2 hour earlier & have a schedule where you can see it (IE: kitchen cupboard or fridge & have it set for IE: wake up kids, 6am; breakfast for kids, 6:10am; kids dressed, 6:25 (give them time to eat.) ready for school, back packs, shoes, jackets, 6:40am.)
An example.

We plan ahead. Make sure everything is ready the night before and make sure we have extra time in the morning

I've never really had an issue with that. We all wake up in a good mood, get dressed, brush hair and teeth, eat some breakfast, and go.
