Kids, school, and Lice...

I got that dreaded note last week. The one that says, "Lice has reared it's ugly head in your child's classroom. We will be checking heads weekly and suggest you check too."

That was Thursday. I checked them Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and found nothing.

Hoping to keep it that way, I covered their precious little heads with a Tea Tree Oil and water mixture this morning.

It stinks. I mean, REALLY stinks. So I walked in their classrooms to explain why their hair smelled so horrid this morning.

Anything else I should be doing to keep my kiddos bug free?

There's a spray that is supposed to keep lice off...And I've heard lice dont like mint...Maybe do a mint tea hair rinse...Good luck...

After going through it so often I finally dyed my girls hair. Lice won't latch on to dyed hair.

Yikes, I hate lice.  I don't have any remedies but checking and treating right away if they appear.  I used to work at an elementary school and I would just start itching when I heard about lice.

Maybe it doesn't to some people. But I'm not too fond of it.

I would do that if it came down to it....but I don't like their heads buzzed.
