I just cannot lick a popsicle stick. Something about my tongue on wood . . . it just gives me the shivers!
What about you?
What can't you stand to do or hear or feel?
(My son can't stand the sound of hands rubbing together! So weird!)
I'm o.k. with licking the stick, but do wonder about splinters.
I've gotten splinters from popsicle sticks before, so I can definitely understand that.
One thing that bugs me on a regular basis is when someone is one of our rockers, and the rocker is rubbing against something next to it. It makes a swishing sound that drives me crazy. Also, I cannot deal with total silence. I literally have panic attacks if there is no noise around me. I even have to sleep with the radio on. I also have to keep the batteries for my CD player charged in case there is a blackout. That way, I can keep myself calm with some music.
I cannot stand the sound of someone cracking their knuckles
Quoting momofsixangels:I cannot stand the sound of someone cracking their knuckles
Me, either! My teenaged sons are all crazy knuckle-crackers, too! It's awful!
I had an old boyfriend who couldn't stand the sound of your fork hitting your teeth
