When you eat out, do you ask for a box to take part of your meal home? I often do. The portions are so large I can never eat it all; especially if I have soup or salad and fill up on bread. I enjoy having it the next day for lunch. We often eat ot with another family, and they never take any leftovers home, even the kids meals that they hardly touch. I asked why and the husband said  it makes him feel like he's poor to do that. ???

If I have anything left over I am asking for something to take it home in.

We were at a very busy restaurant for lunch. The waitress asked if we wanted a box before the meal ever came to our table. Since we had not ordered lunch either, we left her a dollar tip and went to another place. Yes, we were tourist!

When a box comes with hotel room service, do you use it for leftovers or to put scraps in for disposal? The hotel staff wait till next day maid service or check-out clean up.

I always do. We are huge on not wasting. Toms brother is a big waster though. They don't get doggie bags and they don't save leftovers from meals at home. I don't get it since they were roses in the same family.
