1 cup rice (any rice you'd like, but in my experience, brown rice takes the longest to cook)
1/3-1/2 stick butter or margerine (real butter tastes best)
2 cans beef consommé (NOT beef broth)
1/2 pkg of Lipton onion soup mix
1 small can of mushrooms (optional; you can put as many as you want)
Preheat oven to 350°. Drain mushrooms. Combine all ingredients in a baking dish. Bake 1 hour (longer for some varieties of rice). Serve hot.
