My 7 month old is rolling all over the place and he will sit up for a bit when I place him supported. He also does little sit ups in his bouncer lol! I talked to the pedi and he said do not worry until the 9 month check up! My dd sat up unsupported by 6 months so I am a little uneasy!

Four of my kids were sitting by 5 months. Just one of my daughters wasn't. She wasn't rolling over or sitting up at 9 months and finally we got a referral. She had problems with her hip due to womb placement. I would say if your Dr. isn't concerned you shouldn't worry yet.

My nephew did not sit up on his own until close to 9 mos. He also never rolled over, at least not on his belly. As a result, he never crawled. He just figured out around 13 mos or so that he could pull up on stuff and started walking from there.

My lil ds was sitting up unsupported at 5 mths and did a lot of his milestones early except walk he waited to do that until 14 mths but is so ahead every where else even speaking in almost full sentences at 18 mths ! Every child is different don't be concerned be happy  you get more time without having to worry about crazy things they get into

I agree, but every mom will worry regardless.  =)

They all move at their own pace.  Don't worry unless the doctor says something.

It's your job as mom to worry! Every child does develop at different rates if by 9 months he is still not doing it then your pedi may refer you. There is a reason for so many checks when they are so young!
