9 Ways to Live Longer #8, Getty Images

Focus on fitness

Daily exercise may be the closest thing we have to a fountain of youth. A 2008 study found that regular high-intensity exercise (such as running) can add up to four years to your life, which isn’t surprising given the positive effects working out has on your heart, mind, and metabolism.

Even moderate exercise—a quick, 30-minute walk each day, for example—can lower your risk of heart problems.

Do you exercise daily?

I know I should exercise.  Maybe I'll start using my treadmill again.

I used to but it got way too cold for me to continue running with my asthma.

I try to but it's so hard with a toddler. I try to do it when he's in bed though.

I can only do low impact, I have real mobility issues and often need a cane, or sometimes a walker.  But I can do yoga, tai-chi, stretching, swimming.  I try, but not everyday.

I don't excercise. I'm horrible. I have a gym at work and at my apartment complex and still don't go.
