Could you do it?

So recently I've installed curtain rods and changed a toilet seat (not the first time, I've done things like this for a long time) and it's made me think. People are always surprised that I can do things like this myself. Idk why really but some are surprised that a woman knows which end of a screwdriver is the business end. Lol Anyway, I'm curious. Can you do things like this?

Oh yes. I'm the only one that really does anything around the house. If I tell dh that I need help then he does but normally it's all me. I just got done sanding and painting my dd's room the weekend.

It doesn't come natural to me but I can figure it out with directions or you tubing how to..lol
