It's HOW MUCH to replace a faucet?????

I had a plumber come estimate replacing an old kitchen faucet with a new Delta touch faucet that turns on when you touch it.  He came back with $1109.23.  Ummmmmmmmm, I think I can get the faucet for about $400-500, the rest is labor.  WOW!

Diy it's much cheaper and you could actually save on the faucet by shopping around. Plumbing is fairly ez. I've replaced my faucets and repaired my drains before. Can get a little messy but easy.

Depending on which one you want it's more like $300 at Lowe's, and that may be one of the things that they'll install too... I'd go there.

Changing a faucet isn't even hard, buy it from Lowe's and do it yourself.

I think Home Depot and Lowes offer free installation when u purchase from them. Check one of the two.

Wow, I need to show this to hubby. We buy the faucet we want at lowes and I do the installation. I really under estimated what a plumber would charge.

If I had time, I would do it myself.  But time is one thing I run low on.  Every free moment I spend with DD.  And DH doesn't want to do it. :(  The plumber we us is really good, so I guess that's what we pay for.

I should look at Lowe's.  I don't mind paying a few hundred to install it, but I balk at over $1000.

I think you are right.  If you pay over a certain amount, they install.  Good point.

I won't shop for appliances or tools at sears.  I have reasons.
