 of the grid? no electricity, no running water, now bathroom?? (except an out house)

 If that were the circumstances then I guess we would have to adjust all though I do have a whole house gas powered generator that we would most likely use. We have a 150 gallon gas tank that we fill every January or February.  It is basically used for lawn mowing but it is there if needed as a back up.

Yes, I knew a couple native Americans who were almost off grid. Perfect world but tough to do.

I think I'd adapt, would be tough but yes I would adapt.

I could if I had too. I would hope to use solar panels to get some electricity because that would be tough.

Um yes ... but you can still have power. My family has lived off grid as homesteaders. A wind mill or generator does wonders.
