So I will be traveing with my kids for the first time ever soon.  I haven't myself been on a plane for 11 years.  I plan on doing the portable dvd player but, I am doing this alone.  Any tips, tricks etc. would be appreciated.  They haven't flown at all.  Thanks in advance!

Prepare them that they have to sit down with their seatbelt on the whole time!

Buy a new DVD $5 Walmart or target! Craft kits $1 Walmart & target have them. Hit up the dollar zone in target for some new goodies to pull out through the trips.

I buy small toys and a new movie and wrap them up and give one to the kids when they start getting restless. Pack some snacks, special ones that they don't get often. Coloring book and crayons and a few books to read.

Where are you going?

Pack a bag full of craft stuff, coloring books, crayons, dvds and bring that with you. Just stuff to keep them occupied. Also, bring some gum or lollipops for them to suck on during take off and landing.

No help here. The furthest I've gone is an hour south of me driving. We've never been on a plane.

If you are still dealing with diapers take a large ziplock bag and put two diapers, some travel wipes, handi wipes, a disposable changing pad and or underwear in a bag make two or three bags as needed.
