Kids Birthday Party

What food do you make for your kid's birthday party that other kids go crazy to eat?

Do you do favors or skip it? If so, what kind do you give out or make?

Do you do games and prizes?

Do you plan on a budget?

One of the best parties I went to was at the park. For games, she did Red Rover, freeze tag, and tug of war. She had snacks for the adults if they stayed and just cake and punch for everyone. She tied a piƱata to a tree and it was filled with candy for the kids to take home in little bags that also had bubbles, tattoos, and bouncy balls (things that could be used at the party!).

We don't have parties for a lot of people.

We take him out for the day, have some fun. If the in-laws demanda  party then we go to their houses or invite them to ours for a cake and just a normal dinner.

Usually we bbq for the youngest. Pizza for the two oldest. No favors, unless they are earth friendly or useful. DH made paracord bracelets one year! We gave flashlights with whistles and a compass another year. No games and prizes. Sometimes we have it at a place.

For kid parties, we usually have pizza. I do favors...little goodies I find in the party section, and maybe some gummies or goldfish too. I haven't done games..haven't needed to yet. For DS's parties, they just play on the playground at the park. I do plan a budget to stick to

Well the kids loved fruit with dip when I made it last time.

I always do favors. Last year since we had a Super Mario Party....we did a Yoshi Egg Hunt and the kids got to keep those as well as a couple small things in their bags.

We did a egg hunt and a bean bag toss, but my little guy had just turned 4. This year he will be five and it will be at a bowling alley, so no party games.

I dont generally plan on a budget because I plan so far in advanced.

Do mind sharing your fruit dip? I'm having lots of fruits for the kids since dd loves fruits.

This is only my second year for doing birthday parties but DS is turning 2 in June. We are having his party at my in-laws house since we will be in town for it. I think we will just do food and cupcakes for everyone and just hang out. I don't think we are doing prizes, games, or goody bags this year. Last year for his 1st birthday we had just moved 6 months earlier so we had a bunch of DH's co-workers come with their kids. We had food and cake/cupcakes and just relaxed. It was nice and very low-key.

Sure ! Its super easy !

For a good sized batch:

1 jar Mallow Whip

1 pkg of Cream Cheese

2 tsp of Vanilla

( add about 2 table spoons of milk for added creaminess )

You will need to use your hand held mixer to get it into a smooth consistancy. Its amazing!

done :)
