A couple we know each won a free cruise. Each gets to bring a guest. Last night they asked dh and I to go.

Here is the problem. We went on a cruise in February and are scheduled for 2 more, one in October and one in February. The free cruise has to be taken by September.
Dh does not have anymore vacation (the Oct. cruise is covered). Also, even though it is free we would need a couple thousand atleast to cover the liquior package, spending and to cover his missed pay. Dh says he can do it. He has unlimited overtime and it will continue through the summer. He can potentially get 40 hours overtime biweekly working 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Would you go?

You said he has no more vacation?  Will he be able to get the time off unpaid?  Is that the $$ you mentioned.

Yes he would be able to get the time off but unpaid. The money would go to spending, covering his pay and the drink package.

That's kind of what we are thinking. He thinks the work would be worth it.

Well...that's a trade off, lol.  Time now or time on vacation.  Sounds like dh is ok with it...are you?
