Got loose & ran off?!

It is a very scarey topic b/c a lot of stuff could happen!

& as a animal parent it scares the hell out of me b/c puppy could get hit & accidently killed by a car. :(

They have gotten out a few times but we have always found them. Thankfully we live in the back of our neighborhood and the roads aren't busy so neither dog has ever been hit by a car. Our neighbors are good and will bring them home and we do the same for their dogs.

I have a pug who thinks it's funny to go on an "adventure" Hubby chases him, and he will stop and look at him till he's almost close enough to catch him, then run again. Infuriates dh.

No. While teaching basic obedience, recall is taught very early. They never run off. When they run in the woods, I just yell "dogs" and they come. Haha

oh it's happened.  my dog busted through a wood privacy fence chasing a opossum and it was dark I couldn't find her.  I drove around and all of a sudden she came to the car.  I was freaked out.  Love that damn dog.

He has gotten loose but all I have to do is say "Knite STOP!" and he will stop and come back.

Yes, mine has. They have since passed away but my ole buddies would get loose every once in a while and I'd have to go look for them.
