I have a laptop that I use at home. Works great. Went to turn it on yesterday....nothing. so I plugged it into a different outlet and let it charge up. Today it still won't turn on.
Can I take it to the repair shop? Not sure how they can work on a machine that won't even turn on.
I'm bummed :(

UPDATE: I have some friends in the computer support business - lucky me! Turns out the problem is the battery. It died. Remove the battery, plug in the computer - works just fine. I didn't really want to plunk out money for a new battery but it IS MUCH cheaper than a whole new computer! YAY!

I'm sure you could take it in to have them look at it though not sure what can be done. Good luck!

Inspect your chord. Ours breaks all the time and we just buy universal chargers.

I would take it in. My husband's laptop at work died and he was able to fix his. He's an IT person.

Hey next time you have computer issues, just message me.  DH and I have worked in IT for 10 years apiece, this is a really common problem and fix.  Don't pay someone to diagnose it for you.
