What does your school charge for lunch?

DS going to a new school next month and school lunch is $2.25.  I'm thinking I'll just send his lunch each day to save the money. Do you buy school lunch? How much?

I'm not sure. DD always wants me to pack her lunch.

I think it is $2 at elementry school, I don't know for middle school. My kids bring and buy. My kids get a choice

Schools where I live dont have lunch programs. Its home packed lunches for everyone till high school, then the high schools have cafe's lol

It went up to $3 this year, I'd pack her lunch, but it's a nut free school, and it's hard to come up with sandwiches when all she likes is peanut butter and honey.

$2.35/day/child

We usually limit buying to twice a week.

It was $2.25 but they announced a few weeks ago that all the schools have free lunch this coming year.

My son (and most kids at his school) almost always takes his lunch. The food last year was gross, even I stopped eating there on days I volunteered, and I doubt it'll be any better this year because the guidelines are much stricter.

Ours went nut free this year also.
