I have both and fabric can get dirty quicker but leather there is risk of tears. Not sure which is best.

This. Maybe a fabric that's been stain proofed?

Leather is easier to clean, but I prefer fabric, myself.

I prefer fabric myself.  One with scotch guard will help.  When my boys were small and even now with my granddaughter I don't let her just walk all over with food and drink.  If she's drinking water I don't mind but her mom lets her eat and walk all over the house with food on her hands etc...I don't do that.

We have leather and I prefer it. I have 3 kids. No tears so far.

We have fabric. I was afraid of tears.

I would do leather. Fabric can always get tears too. Leather is easier to keep clean.

We have fabric and we just got a new living room set couple of weeks ago. We have goof proof on ours and a 5 year warenty on our living room set. The best thing about our new set is we have storage underneath.

I'm thinking fabric. You could get the stain guard for it too.

I think leather would be better...If they get sick on it it's easier to clean...Fabric it will soak in...But downside of leather is have to be careful of sharp objects...I miss my leather couches...
