My baby has learned that she can squish her face, do a half smile and half grimace, and whine for attention. Let's say I've put her in the playpen while I try to do dishes. If she doesn't want to be there she'll do this face and make the "wahhhh" sound, relax her face and look up for me. It is the funniest thing! She's almost 8 months old and still spends most of her day near the breast. This is so cute, though. If I didn't know better, it'd be really easy for me to say that she's manipulating me. I know this is just her way of communication, obviously, but it is hilarious.
Kai protests too. He doesn't like when I put him down. His arms go right back up and he grunts at me. lol
