I am truly concerned about the swine flu and am having a hard time finding a vaccine that is mercury free for my 13 month old.
I have been using an alternative vaccine schedule for both my boys 2 1/2 and 13 months old. Only 1 or 2 shots at a time...seperated MMR for my oldest...putting off Hep B until they start school... So it is killing me that I can't get a mercury free for the little one. My doctor and the flu clinics by me are stating that the levels of mercury are "trace" and "nothing to be concerned about," but the multi-dose is 25 mcg, which is not trace, even at half a dose (which he would have at 13 months)...not to mention that he would need 2 shots.
I was able to vaccinate my 2 1/2 year old with the mist and also was able to find a place by me that gave my husband and me the vaccination as well. Basically trying to create a cocoon around the little guy.
It would be great if somehow we could start a network that can inform each other of where you could find vaccines in our areas.
Is anyone else concerned about the mercury?
