2 cans ( 3 oz ea ) french fried onions,1-16 oz can cut green beans drained , 2-6 1/2 oz ea flaked tuna drained and flaked, 1 -8oz can water chestnuts drained and cut into 3rds. 1 reg sz can cream of mushroom , or cream of chicken soup . 1/4c milk, 3 tblsp mayo or salad dressing . 1/2 tsp curry powder ( opt ) .
heat oven 350 , reserve 1/4c of the onions for topping , mix rest of beans, tuna water chestnuts, . mix soup, milk, mayo and curry powder, fold into tuna mix, pour into ungreased 2 qt casserole,cover bake 30 min . sprinkle w/ reserved onions and bake 5 min more .
spanish noodle bean bake
12 oz uncoked noodles 1 lb ring bolonga, 1 lg onion chopped, 2 med stalks celery chopped. 1 sm green pepper cut into strips, 1 tblsp veg oil, 1 8 oz can tomato sauce , 2-3 tsp chili powder, 1 can 16 oz garbonzo beans 1/2c pited sliced ripe olives, 1 - 16 0z can whole kernel corn . 1 -11 oz can condensed cheddar cheese soup, seasoned cereal
prepare noodles as directed on pkg, drain, oven 350 . cut bologna into 3/8 in slices, cook and stir bologna slices , onion, celery and green pepper in oil over med heat until onion is tender . stir in tomato sacue and chili powder . layer 1/2 of each of bologna mix , noodles, beans w/liquid ,olicves and corn w/ liquid in freased 3 qt casserol dish repeat, spoon soup over to , sprinkle w/ seasoned cereal , bke uncovered unti hot and bubbly about 40 min,
crush 2 c whole wheat flake cereal add 1 tbslp grated parm cheese and 3/4 tsp garlic salt ,
shake in plastic bag to mix,
Pioneer Turkey Casserole
6 oz pkg white and wild rice mix, 2-3c cooked turkey or chicken , 2 tblsp chopped onion, 1 stalk celery chopped, 1c water, 1 tsp worcestershire sauce 1-10 3/4 oz can cream of chicken, celery or mushroom soup , 1-8oz can water chestnuts,drained and sliced, 4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained, 1/4c roasted almonds. heat oven 375 , grease 2 qt casserole dish , in casserole combine uncooked rice, and paket of seasonings w/ rest of ingre except nuts , mix well. bake covered at 375 for 45 min, uncover , sprinkle w/ nuts , bake 15 min more. or til rice is done .
1 med onion , 1 med potato , 3$ tsp salt, 1 - 6 oz can tomato paste, 1 1/2c chickend broth ,2 tbslp raw rice, 1c water cress firmly pressed, 1 tbslp butter, 1 sliced carrot, 1c water
cook onion slowly in butter til lightly browned, add all but water creaa, ;simmer stir occ for 45 min, add water cress and boil 5 min longer .
